Watch: Pyaar ka Punchnaama Aaryan tirade
On the right, see that face?
Little (not so little anymore, though, with the BJP all lovin' on him) buck-toothed Kartik Aryaan (he's got his teeth fixed since then, hasn't he, the adorable sputtering henpecked hero?), aka Bugs Bunny, shot to Bollywood stardom (Number 1, I hear? Though on this see the ending of Pathaan!) after this rant in Pyaar ka Punchnaama (2011), Bollywood's sick laddism attempt.
Here, all young women whom the current political junta doesn't like--westernized, assertive, working girls with their own plans--are represented as ball-crushing fiends.
You'll get it all here. Woman as Pandora; Woman as the Door to Hell; Woman as Harpy; Woman as Vagina Dentata
And in case that isn't enough, the director added in a little bonus malicious homophobia: the simpering "Gay Banday" mime mid-speech, by beta Aaryan.
This is what made me write No Country for Young Women in Sky Island Journal (Thanks again, Editors!)
But I really am starting to wonder--Can I, a no longer young woman, ever go back and live in my homeland?
I wonder: Is it a country for any women of any age at all?
What do you all advise? Let me know in Comments.

Yes, that's good, but that strikes me more like a newspaper or journal article. I'm going with "Remains Necessary" because that divides people into supporters and antagonists and places the onus of having to show my cards on me.
Dear Nandini: I now understand that writers/authors have 3-5 seconds to get a reader's attention. I believe/suspect that means that our titles have to be the biggest billboard we can work up. If the title doesn't grab attention, then readers probably won't read anything more. That is what the competion is, why readers won't spend any more time (since they have too many e-mails/messages they want to get through--if they are like me). So here is my title. Let me know if it SOUNDS like something that engages you (hoping it engages people): "Why Affirmative Action Remains Necessary, a Memoir"
